For anyone curious (a small group indeed), the local anime convention I'm a director for is coming up at the end of September, at the Cobb Galleria & Rennaissance Waverly hotel Based on other con's performances around the country, its possible we'll break 10,000 people over the weekend, and we're understaffed. There's a volunteer staff meeting for it next sunday August 13th, if anyone's interested in this sorta stuff we need some help, so come and show up. IF you dont have much of an idea for anime, click on Cartoon Network right now and watch something called Fooly Cooly on the rest of the night.
uh.. i dont get the subreference... sorry. but AWA is an anime con. it takes up the entire hotel convention space with anime showing rooms, panels & lessons, artists, constumes & contests, dealers room full of stuff for sale, and other party type going ons for 3 days

how many days do you plan on coming? if its 2 days or 3, you can work mebbe 3~4 hours a day depending on the area, then goof off.
i'm 90% sure im coming for 2-3 days. That's if im not too busy with school, which i shouldnt be. So are there any other benefits of working there besides getting in free?

crowded, and hot. lots of yelling kids had to be dealt with in the night, but mostly good reports so far. Final attendance numbers will take a few weeks to process...
ugh yes, I ended up helping security again, which is nothing unusual or bad, but this was the first year I actually did start pulling badges. was it fun for you otherwise?
