i'm putting together a live mixed trance set or two (bought a LOT of dj tracks recently) - so the nano is loaded with a lot of those. shiloh max grahm g&d pvd tiesto omb tasteexperience etc, etc, etc...
my fav cd (mp3 mix) right now is this drum and bass mix with hip hop...the set is called like "thug and bass"...:keke: ...sounds kinda weak but I like it and wish I knew where to find more... I'm interested in what people are listening to cause I haven't bought a new cd since Tool and need to get some new stuff
In the CD player is Alkaline Trio - Crimson right now, but most of the time I just have my iPod hooked up and listen to it. It has a ton of stuff, everything from Gangsta rap, to Journey, and lots of Alkaline Trio and Coheed and Cambria
I rock double cds. 1. Afi- Black sails in the black sunset/decemberunderground 2.Rezurex - beyond the grave/cabrese - midnight spookshow 3.Blitzkid - Let the flowers die/terrifyuing tales 4.mxpx - Panic 5. morrissey - viva hate 6.Ludacris - Chicken and beer
really is this their new one?....I liked their "on the cover" cd...but that was years ago....I got to see them once with Offspring in Conn.
that is entirely possible. and a kick ass idea anyone willing to help look into it with me? and I'll need musical contributions
1. Jack Johnson - On and On 2. A best of Foo Fighters mix I made 3. The best mix cd ever made, but not really (includes "Scatman," "Ganstas' Paradise," "Kiss from a Rose" and lots of 90s songs you may have forgotten existed but undoubtedly like) 4. Ben Folds Five - Whatever and Ever Amen 5. Blues Traveler - Travelouge 6. 311- Greatest Hits

i know that my friends have broadcast their library through shoutcast. kinda setup their own radio station on the net. not really sure what is required to get it to work, but it might be worth looking into. www.shoutcast.com

My mp3 player broke last week, and I've not the funds to get a new one right now. It was a creative zen micro 5gig. I liked it well enough, and now I can get a 60 gig ipod for the same price... but WTH am I going to do with 60 gig... lol. maybe I can watch movies during meetings... hmmmm. Oh, and I was listening to alot of latino music. Yo Voy, Gasolina, etc... that and the Initial D soundtrack when driving... hehehehe
in the car: Live "V" Fuel "Natural Selection" Tool "Lateralus" Jane's Addiction "Stray Cats" Staind "Break the Cycle" Van Halen Live in the iPod...this morning's shuffle: Nickelback, Stabbing Westward "Darkest Days", Incubus, Pearl Jam "Live on Two Legs"
what's wrong with your old player? I might be able to fix it since I fixed a few iPods I am thinking of starting a repair and battery replacement side gig for some extra cash. I can take a look for you
Shoutcast will work from winamp or itunes and will allow broadcasting (and people to rip the stream) of your music. It's cake to set up...assuming you have the bandwidth. It will tie in with a web php script to allow changing songs too. I'll look for the sourceforge page for that My list Gnalrs Barkley Nightmares On Wax WAX TAILOR (lots of wax!) Andy Caldwell Zero 7 The Dandy Warhols
i got the plug in installed but now im looking for the ip, port, and password for shoutcast. can you help me?
ok, for shoutcast setup: The ip is default at 8000 and you set the allowable IP and password in the shoutcast config file sc_serv.conf. All you need to set is the broadcast password at field" Password=" (that lets a particular ip use your shoutcast server) and admin password "AdminPassword=". Make sure to set "PublicServer=" to "never" so it will not list you in the shoutcast web site. winamp setup: You should put in 127.0.0.1 for an ip in winamp to broadcast to and it will loop the sound it makes back to your own pc where you also have the shoutcast server running. Put whatever password you put for the broadcast pass and whatever you play should be broadcast! Make sure you open port 8000 on your firewall too. As to the legality, any purchased songs on say itunes or other music stores strictly forbit streaming even to yourself. Dunno about cds and other physical media but if it's low key i can't see it being a problem. There can also be a password to connect to the server so there is that to keep people out. We should set up a direct connect hub or something if people really want to try some music but the legality of that is on even shakier ground (is shakier spelled even remotely correct?)
here is whats in my 6 disc Linkin Park - Meteora Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium disc 2 The Cure - Pornography Megatron - Live from the Cove (A friend of mine that spins DnB in Jax,FL) Peter Murphy - Holy Smoke Skinny Puppy - Last Rights
Hmm, I might have to take you up on that. Any experience with the dell dj? Mine's been borking out everys so often lately.
There's always the flash the firmware and nuke it strategy :sx: Worked for many an ipod at college (well that and hitting it to get the hard drive arm unstuck.
