Fold down backseat. Remove the big flap/lid over spare tire. Remove the smaller flap that's right behind the backseat. You will need to remove 3 little screw-push-pins. Pop up the two pieces on the left and right side of the tire. You can remove the whole things or just pop the fronts up a bit. Pull out the foam inserts; one over the spare tire and a long one right behind the backseat (this one has a push-clip holding it in at the front). On the passenger side there's an oval cover held down with 4 phillips screws. Remove these and remove cover; make sure to remove the foam gasket carefully. You're now looking at the top of the assembly. Remove the electrial plug, one hose with a metal clip on it, and two hoses that have little plastic fittings you just squeeze and pull the hose off. Remove the little nuts that go all around the edges. Bend a little metal tab out of the way as you start pulling the assembly up. You will need to wiggle/rotate it a bit; be VERY careful not to bend the fuel float rod which is fairly small and easily damaged. Loosen/move the metal clips on the hose connecting the fuel filter to the pump. Pull the lower part of the pump up/out; there's a rubber grommet thing holding it in place but it has some flex/play. Disconnect electrical plug from fuel pump, and pull pump out of the connecting hose. The hose might stick to the pump; if that happens just remove it from the pump. You can reuse this rather than cut the supplied Walbro hose. You want to reuse the factory 'sock' attached to the pump. Use a small flathead to remove the little pinch washer thing holding it in place and remove sock. Attach to your Walbro pump. Put the hose back on the filter if it came off, and replace the stock junk clips with the clamps you got with the pump. Put the Walbro supplied grommet on the bottom of the pump (it'll fit a certain way) and slide the pump into the hose. Now you'll need to wrestle it in place. It takes a while, but if you use a wide flathead you can help squeeze the rubber grommet into place under the bracket. Don't give up! Plug electrical connector back in pump. Tighten clamps around hose on both ends. Put assembly back in tank, be careful not to get the gasket out of place. Tighten everything down snug and put the hoses and electrical connection back. Turn key to 'ON' to make sure that the pump runs. It's ok to start the car if you want; the assembly and tank are now sealed off. Replace the oval lid and gasket. Replace interior pieces. Done!

Can always run the fronts up on ramps. Think your pump needs upgrading? Thought the STi one was fairly stout.
