My 04 STI clutch is now slippin occaisonally and I was wondering what would be a good replacement flywheel and clutch kit.

I had been looking into the Fidanza flywheels but was advised on the low weight of 9 lbs would be a problem. I know that the stock one weighs around 22-23 lbs and was lookin to lighten it up somewhere around 10 lbs.
I just can find any decent websites with info on 04 STI clutches.

    Anybody got any suggestions???

Now for the clutch kit I was looking into a kit from either Exedy or Spec. I know that I am not gonna ever go over 400hp. I'm looking for something daily drivable but also giving me that edge when I need it. I know i wanna upgrade from the stock clutch but cant decide on which one.
What are the differences between stage 1,2,3 and different puck designs?

What kinda material should I be lookin for?

Another thing to factor in is my budget, Im lookin around $400-800 for both clutch kit & flywheel.

Anybody have any suggestions that that used on their STI or have heard from anybody about any great products plz let me know.

    thanks

This is a great read and I suggest you give it a look through. It's unabombers (nasioc mod) faq on clutches and flywheels. Clutch & Flywheel FAQ
