Hi my name is Mike and well, I guess I'm a ricer. I just installed an HKS BOV because I thought my stock one was messed up. Ever since I put the FMIC on it sounded odd. It made a fluttering noise. The HKS also makes the fluttering noise so I guess the stocker wasn't messed up. Anyone else have this issue after a FMIC install? Now I find my self getting into boost and letting off right when I pass somebody just to see their reaction. I know being a ricer is a sickness but admitting it is the first step to recovery. Now I only have 11 more to go.
I want to just turn the little dial on my Recirc valve and go atmospheric...my inner ricer hasn't been happy....gottttaa resist....hnoes: hnoes:
I'm cured. The noise is driving me insane. The BOV holds boost great but I just can't take it anymore. The recirc kit is on its way
Would you want to try a different stocker. I have 2 sitting at home. 1 has less than 100 miles on it, the other has about 2000 miles on it.
I modified my stock one and it held 23psi fine but started to leak after that. With the HKS I have hit 27psi and it held fine. My only issue is the noise and the stumble. I had always planned on getting the recirc kit since dumping to atmosphere is bad juju on a car with a maf sensor. I just wanted to be a ricer for a while. Even the stocker made a wierd fluttering sound once I installed the FMIC. I guess I am going to have to live with that noise no matter which bov/recirc valve I use. thanks for the offer
