My wrx Project

    EDIT:: It is for sale! :'( unless someone wants to help me out check page 2 :D

    Ok Well about 2 weeks ago i got rid of the civic and got this...

    it ran but smoked and found out it had low compression in one cylinder so we pulled the motor

    well we opened it up and we found this...

    A melted piston !!!!11
    well i figued since that motor was trashed why not do it right this time so after a little thought i decided to put this in there...

    from a 2005 STi 25k on it we put all new gaskets, seals , blah blah blah and here it is all assimbled and ready to go

    Just when I start thinking it's time to maybe tone down the modding on my car and maybe part it out to save money, I see something like this!

    I have a rejuvenated excitement about being able to do something like this with my car when I graduate from college :banana:

    Good call on getting rid of the Honda. Engine building is pretty impressive. Are you doing this alone? Either way good job, keep us updated.

    no i not doing this alone i have a good friend helping me build it and swap it, so its not too bad on the pockets, lol

    Thanks man im trying to rep as best as i can being a newbie and all :)
    I got the motor from a buddie of mine he gave me a good deal.. :cool:

    He had to sell the car, but I believe it was pretty much finished. Too bad, because he never really got to enjoy the car either.

    Yeh, tell me about it. He's working on a new project right now...a turbo eg hatch. Should be nice when its done.

    Yeah I go to SOPO. Do you go there?

    Update on the car for those who care:
    When I got it there was an oil leak from all hell, the cv boot was busted, exhaust leak, and vacuum leak.
    Since then I have found all the problems and fixed them and have some other plans for the near future. VF30 or 22 is in sight.

    Nah I was there oneday picking up a part from a fellow board member and saw the car there. I had talked to the previous owner and he said it belonged to another now.
