Hi from FL, Just picked up a Saab 9-2X Aero last weekend. I love wagons and AWD so it seems like a good fit for me. A friend of mine lives up there in Atlanta and is on this forum so I figured I would join and try to expand my Subaru knowledge. I have had many VW's and still have one, but the Saab peaked my interest, here's a pic.
Check out www.saab92x.com as well, some good guys on there. I've got an 05 92x and just moved here from Orlando (also went to UF). Happy modding! :wavey:
This is my boy taxman from florida. It brought a tear to my eye when got rid of his r23 but im glad he got a 92x
This ass-pirate referred me, and it was an R32 I used to have (I loved the car, but 2 doors were too inconvenient for put a baby in the back).
First off, welcome to the boards. I've got a buddy who's got an R32. He's seriously thinking about selling it now that he's had it out on the track. He was a little disappointed with it. He's trying to decide if it's worth modding or not. You have any mods done to your R?? You mind me asking what kind of mileage it had and what you were able to sell it for (or did you trade it in)?? You can PM me if you'd prefer.
It had 27,115 on the odometer when I traded it in. I got 25K for trade in. I was the second owner. I had Revo software and a neuspeed intake. I had it on VWVortex and autotrader for about 3 weeks and just got lowballed by most. I was asking 24K (which was one of the best prices in the country at the time) and people would call and offer 20 or 21K. I would laugh and hang-up. I only had one serious buyer, but he was like 3000 miles away and wanted me to pay shipping costs, so I stopped into the VW dealership and they had a 4 door rabbit with a 5-speed. They gave me what I wanted for trade-in, so it was a done deal. They put the car on the lot for 28,995 and it is still there about 4 months later.
Buddy of mine had an r32, they seem to hold their value fairly well. Bout a year ago someone tboned him and he got more than he pay'd originally off insurance.
They held their value for a while, but with the new one coming out next year, the value should start dropping a lot quicker.
