Just curious, but on the 06' STi when you hit lock once, it beeps and locks the doors, hit lock again, and it does seemingly nothing, hit lock a third time and it honks... Whats the difference in the second and third beeps?
yeah...i'd like to know too. also, sometimes it beeps when i lock and unlock and sometimes it doesn't. seems like it beeps whenever it feels like it.
hit lock three times in under 5 seconds (i think) and it honks... this feature can be used to locate your car in a parking lot
you can also use the honk as the chirper Im not sure bout WRX To use the honk instead of the chirper 1. press unlck once 2. hold lock and unlock for 2 sec the honk is for onlookers who wont move away after 2 chirps and then the HELLA takes over
The 2nd click may also be a feature to help determine an intentional depression of the button and unintentional (ie, in your pocket).
is it just a STI thing in that it beeps when you lock it? Or is it possible to disable it? I ask because my car never beeps unless I set it into alarm mode(BTW, manual explains whats needed to do what with the key fob). Just wondering if the guy before me disabled it.
