Welp, the 6gunracing hub swap is complete! The car is now running another set of 17x8 FN01RC's. Now, however, I can run more width than ever before on the 04 bolt pattern. Say hello to 17x10s baby!

I wanted to help outline some of the project for everyone to know exactly what went on. Unfortunatly, my camera is borked and I couldnt borrow one in time for the swap Friday.

Oh, Ive updated the mod and wishlist. Now theyre both a tad bit more accurate.

 

For additional information, please check out my replies to my camber plate thread and clay's RCE spring thread. Anyhoo, without further ado I do believe this is the setup I will be pursuing over the next month or so.

I'll be throwing on a set of 05 sti takeoffs with RCE springs, RCE camber-plates (non-lowering), and group-n rear hardened strut mounts :wiggle:

 

Those Camber plates look sexy.

Much to my dismay, the springs are still NOT here. Brian and I have been attempting to get in touch with them and to no avail; if we do get someone, we request a tracking number and it never seems to make it back our way. This is frustrating and discouraging.

Additionally, as more and more of the owners are picking up these springs there seems to be a hint of "too-much for the stock strut" in the air. I cannot atest to this as I havent received my springs yet; however, I had a nice chat with Ross (spazegun) and he feels quite the opposite on the issue. He's lovin' them. Also, I pulled the RCE camber plate order for now, I just dont think its necessary...yet p). Nevertheless, I just wanted to share my frustration with everyone. Hopefully, this week will be the lucky week for the car.

I am also putting together a christmas list for the car. None of this is set in stone of course, but its fun to think up some new things to do.

Yeah I know this, the majority of them were out with SEMA...but what I couldnt understand is if we got the invoice already and they claimed they were shipping...why its been something like 10 days at this point?

 

We finally got in touch with kelly at rce, and after an unexplained 2 week delay, the springs will either ship out today or tomorrow!

 

Welp, springs arrived at RCE today and hopefully shipped out (forgot to call them to confirm). But, until then, some new goodies

 

Hah, so called up RCE today. Springs didnt arrive Friday (but that was what their tracking no. claimed). Myle's is expcting them in on Monday.

 

Shipping out today, a very distressed Myles called me again last night to let me know.

 

He better not...I waited months for this :sx:
