Sorry, you're too late. I've taken all the info out of this post except some pictures. Dont speed and you wont need any help.

Gotta love these little things, the've saved me on numerous occasions when I wasnt paying attention and going slightly faster than I should have been.

Sometimes the speed limits are just BS though and are obvious speed traps. A good radar detector should be in EVERYONE's car. Unless you just enjoy giving small towns all your hard earned money that is. Good writeup buddy. If someone is driving recklessly then they need to be fined for it if not removed from the road, but getting a ticket for 35 in a 25 is just ridiculous. There are other ways to create revenue, like throwing kids in jail for smoking pot.

how much did this one cost? my one was some 70 buck cobra one off amazon i got as a gift. I haven't came across any speed traps since i've had it in so i don't really know just how affective it is. It seems to go off all the time in certain areas though.

And that's the only reason I have one. I never race or speed when it's not safe. 75 is the flow of traffic on 285 and that's 20 over. With a yellow car, I'm the unlucky guy you see getting the ticket. Not anymore! Well, atleast not as often...

X50 was 300 and the M20 was 350 (I think...?) Both have paid for themselves now. The ZR3 is a good system. It's not as good up front, but offers rear protection too. The M20 is the best laser jammer on the market for front protection. I didn't want something too obvious- the ZR3's rear unit is visible when a cop walks up from behind. My M20 is hard to see unless you look up into my bumper. :naughty:

    Always drive safe!

Done and done. For all those that missed this topic. sorry. Good luck to you all. Just be safe. speed traps are a joke, but regular posted speed limits should be followed!

And only really effective if you hit that particular spot on the vehicle.

here's a funny fact. i have had FEWER tickets without a radar detector than I ever had with my Cobra radar detector. I think they just agive a false sense of security. And they get really annoying around automatic doors. I gave mine to my buddy when I lost my license last year, ha. And never asked for it back, since then I bought my WRX and all that has happened is i have been given 1 warning. **knock on wood**

You don't know how many people I pulled over who were like, "But my super detector, jammer, whatever never even went off!!" I am telling you against laser and some of the radar bands you would do better to get yourself a flat black paint job and make sure that it never gets shiney than to buy these things. I had a more difficult time hitting people with rattle can flat black paint than I did with jammers.
