Cory Lidle, a pitcher for the New York Yankees, was killed today when his small private plane crashed into a residential high-rise building on New York City's Upper East Side, igniting several apartments before pieces of the aircraft crashed to the ground, a high-ranking city official confirmed late this afternoon. Yet another tragedy... My thoughts and prayers goes out to his family and friends
yea, that sucks link for anyone that wants the article http://www.cnn.com/2006/US/10/11/plane.crash/index.html
Yeah saw that on the news of course the first thing I thought was 911 repeat till I saw the rest. Had to be a scary site to those in NY
Very much so. After watching the events unfold back in 2001 when I was living in NJ about 45 mins outside of the city, it was eerily familar when I flipped the news on after work last night and saw the live video feed. In some ways it was a relieve, but nonetheless, it is still sad and my thoughts go out to the family.
That was a very tragic day indeed. I send out my condolences to the family. I was thinking it was probably a terrorist move at first, then I heard it was Cory Lidle. He was only 34. Very Sad... Mark
