In street prepared, the car is allowed to be updated or backdated with the same model of different years. I needed some clarification though. Anyone know if you are allowed to update or backdate to a different market, i.e. from USDM to JDM or EDM? In the first section of the SCCA rules, it says "normally sold in the U.S.", but I have seen left hand drive cars (obviously JDM) being driven in competition.

Basically, I am trying to figure out if I can upgrade the hoodscoop and splitter to JDM, so that a new larger intercooler would actually be more effective.:sx:

    BelvnAWD I'm Vin, Bell-Vin...

The default is, if it doesn't say it, you can't do it. However, I am not the SCCA rules expert...

UD/BD must be from cars sold in the US domestic market.

Stompy uses a larger IC with the stock splitter:

I just wanted more cooling capacity than what the old WRX's hoodscoops could provide, because they are a lot smaller than the 04+'s.
