This weekend I put my STi on the dyno for the first time since stock... As usualy for a dyno I make sure to turn everything off, radio, air, fans etc... So they dyno my car and when i go to leave i was like... why the hell is it so cold in here!?!? They had somehow managed to turn on my A/C!!! My question is, how much power do you loose with the A/C compressor on? Heres my numbers... I'm pretty happy even with the A/C on plus I found out that I'm running REALLY rich which means with tuning i should see some decent gains... Numbers: 292hp & 317tq I'll post the DYNO graph when i get it...
^^He is correct. A/C as well as a few other things will turn off in a high load situation such as WOT during a dyno pull.
Ok, thats what I've heard but wasn't sure. I swear it feels like it doesn't pull as hard even at WOT with the A/C on...
not a lot . tryin to sell some stuff so i can get the STi tuned and new bushings for the 240... i don't work all week so i've got time...
For the evo, the car turns on the extra cooling fan on whenever the AC is on, so it cooled down faster on the dyno when the AC was on between pulls. -- Brian
