Err....it seems "techno" has been popularized at my school. I do not wish to listen to SandStorm for the 6th billion time, but it seems everyone is (sadly)...Anyone recommend just good dancing artists....theres just soo many i can't listen to all of them..

Also, i'm "buying" it of the internet (hinthint) and I first got 237 and its 120 mins long 0_o!!! so much for burning it on a CD!

I feel like with the right eqiupment I could make amazing techno. Unfortunately I don't really like techno, so I'd never buy the equipment needed. Totally unrelated to thread...just my thoughts. :)

Why? I have made some seriously generic techno in fruityloops and listen to techno but would never have the patience to work out an entire techno song. I'd rather pick three chords on a guitar, turn the amp up to 10, hookup a nice distortion pedal, and then rock the hell out.

    i'll let ya know ;)

strayen, i would rate the mix a "dated" 7 or 8. obviously good tracks strike you as better when you haven't heard them ;)

both avb and tiesto have progressed enormously in the past 3 years

a 9.5 is what it deserves.. not so much for the tracks but for the mix. He constantly has two tracks playing throughout the mix. His cuts are pretty darn impressive. I don't know, maybe I'm just stuck in the mid-90s where 3 turntables were the standard. :D

the mixing really is top-notch, was this on turntables? i thought he may have been using ableton or something. i really miss when oakey was doing good shit, and on three decks.
