Well, I found some free time today and worked on a light I got off a Saabaru. My apologies, however, it's a bit scratched (came out of a wreck), but I wanted to see if it broke down like the rest. It does, and much to my suprise the light looks incredible when its had some work done to it! See the photos below. If you are interested in having this service done, please post in our thread in the for-sale section and / or send us a PM or IM (tenthstjdm). I have additional pictures upon request, however, I will throw some of the highlights in here (including the config options I could think of): Here we have the OEM lamp. OEM once again except with our chrome / amber bulb. A close up of the unmodified lamp housing with the chrome bulb. Amber removed ("cleared") w/ the oem amber bulb. Amber removed w/ the chrome bulb. Blacked out without bulbs installed... Finally, blacked out with the amber removed and the oem amber bulb. I ran out of daylight to get decent photos of the blacked out lamp with our chrome bulb and with the amber reinstalled (which looks schnazzy), so I will shoot a few more tomorrow. Cheers, Alex
A few closeups comparing OEM amber bulb with our chrome (amber illumination) bulb. Amber removed, chrome bulb installed. Amber removed, amber bulb installed. Enjoi,
Yeah, its a giant paper weight at the moment. Id love if you could pass this along to the saab guys. PM sent about price and such.
I remember talking to you about doing this last week, looks like it turned out really good. Lemme know when you're doing this to your brother's car, I need to redo mine too.
Prob. over christmas, however, I'm in town all this week. Ive heard you're coming back thursday, so that could leave friday open. Unfortunately, I'm working on someones lights already. You can come hang out though and use the oven if need be when Im done.
cool! good job man! I'd like to see what it looks like on the car as well... what's the going rate? :naughty:
Well unfortunately its raining, but I was going to work on my brother's lights today...it'll have to wait I suppose now. But sometime next week you'll see photos on his car. Send me a PM, we'll talk rate.
Well good news and bad news kids...to pull the lamps you have to drop the front bumper...I was not about to do that in the rain today either. I'll work on it whenever the the weather clears up this week.
