I bought the M-1 Chromoly front sub-frame because its about 30lbs lighter than the factory piece. When it came in I was truly impressed, welds were very nice and the powder coating was perfect, its really a lot nicer piece than it needs to be since its hidden under the car.

Install took about 30 minutes it mounts in 12 places. After install turn in was noticeably quicker, the front of the car feels much more solid.

Its another expensive piece but it seems like you get what you pay for.

What he said. I remember reading a bunch of threads saying that there was no noticeable difference without the front subframe and you lose all of that weight on the front end.

I cant say that I felt a diffrence between the stock subframe and not having one at all.

However going from no subframe to having the M1 the front of the car feels much stiffer.

the engine cover, as it is called, BOLTS to the 'crash subframe'....if accomodations are not present on the aftermarket peice (5 bolt holes w/nuts on the back side, and 4 holes for the clips)...then obviously it will not 'fit.'
