I bought a cheap buffer from Walmart a year or so ago, worked alright on my previous vehicle, but I think I need something a little more professional and with a little more buffing power. Porter Cable has a nice one out for just under $200, what are the chances there's something similar for less than $100? Thanks for any insight
http://autopia.org/ The Porter Cable is supposed to be really nice for fine polishing but I'm wary to try one without proper training from a pro.
^^^ Good point. Our Subaru's paint is very thin. The detailing guys went all the way thru the paint when trying to remove a scuff on my bumper. (don't worry they repainted it too)
Whatever brand you go with, make sure it is at least a 16 pound orbital. It will do all the work. I used to help detail cars many moons ago and those were the best to use in terms of shine and performance. Anything else is trash IMO. http://www.orbitalpolisher.com/spares.html
