Hi just got a new set of wheels and I need to get my fenders rolled can you guys suggest somone. Derek Murray
We can! You will pay an arm and a leg to have it done professionally. How much extra space do you need? There is a forester on here that fit some really wide wheels previously. I only needed like half an inch to fit the rears, so I just cut the inside lip with a angle grinder. It looks good, can't see that I did it, unless you stick your head under the wheel well. Took about an hour and used some touch up paint that matched to seal everything.
Just remember that when it's cold outside, the paint is more brittle and will crack....ask me how I know this.
I took my Mazda to Butler Tire and Wheel last year and they did a good job on it. They used a heat gun and a roller took them about 45 min to do the rear. They charged 45 a side.
Sanders told me about someplace else that was cheaper and still used a machine....Top Hat something or other.
Ive got one! I did the front fenders on my 5.0 mustang. It's an eastwood fender roller, dont know if it will fit the 5x100 but let me know if i can help you out. -Jon
I posted this before. You may be interested. You can rent a tool for 5 days. http://www.rollyourfender.com/ Andy
Mine looks just like that but its made by Eastwood. That one looks like maybe a knock or they just peeled the sticker off. Mines got multiple holes in the mounting surface and i held it up to a 5x100 wrx and looks like it will fit. Here's a link of the website i bought mine off of : http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6159&itemType=PRODUCT&path=1%2C2%2C503%2C504%2C514&KickerID=232&KICKER Heres a few bad pics of me rolling the fenders on my mustang:
I don't know if you got my PM but are you willing to loan/rent your fender roller to me? Also, do you have a heat gun? I'd really like to do this soon. My +48et BBS wheels with Bridgestone S03 are rubbing like nuts in hard corners. I pulled the rubber trim pieces off of the rear fender lips and both of them were worn through to the metal.
You wanna throw in on a fender rolling kit from "rollyourownfenders.com" or whatever? $50+$250deposit.
Momentem has one tryin to wait on his reply. We could just mak a day/evening of it and chip in for food n drinks. but if not sure i'll chip in cause I need to do it soon.
