It was one of Batlground's regulations for the dyno day. Honestly I dont see why its any different but thats just the guidelines they gave to us.
after thinking it over and plans i have for the RS i will be dyno'ing that instead, i would much appreciate my spot towards the begining again.
Check the first post... Users must print, sign and bring with them on the day of the event. No waiver, No dyno-time, No exceptions!
Due to a smaller percentage of pre-payers than expected, we've now opened the event to walk-ins. Food will be provided free of charge for those who are dynoing. If you chose to simply come hang out, expect to pay around $1-2 for food Regarding a queue, those who have pre-payed are still in their respective placement. Walk-ins (Subarus) will be placed at the end of the line, in order of paying, but before any non-Subaru chasis dynoer.
on the link for the waiver there is a ) at the end so it wont work http://wrxatlanta.com/events/batldyno/batl_dyno_waiver.pdf) so just delete it or go to this http://wrxatlanta.com/events/batldyno/batl_dyno_waiver.pdf
I am going to have Cobb for the first time that weekend. Would I be able to get a baseline dyno without Cobb, and then hook up Cobb to see what my new numbers are? I know you guys were wanting to push people through pretty fast... I still only want the 3 runs. Just didn't know if there would be enough time to program the new map. Not sure how long it takes to upload the map from Cobb either. It would also be cool if some more experienced Cobb'ers were there just to make sure I wasn't doing anything wrong, since I have never used it before.
if i remember correctly, dropping a base map takes quite some time so it might be difficult to do that on the dyno
Well if I upload the base map before hand, does it take long to take it to stage 2? I wouldn't mind just doing the base map as a baseline instead of stock ecu baseline.
I may be wrong but I don't think you can dyno AWD Porsches on a dynojet, you should probally call and ask. Matt Sorry I wont be able to make it, Ill be at Carolina Motorsports Park for a Time Trial. Matt
dropping a real time map is quick... we'll have to talk to batlground to see if that can be done on the dyno
I was gonna do that.. get a baseline number, then flash a realtime (takes about 30 sec) map for methanol injection and race gas. As far as loading a basemap, it takes about 10 minutes.
Yeah that's lame matt. Meh...I have a time trial...meh. But yeah it'll be good to get together and meet new people.
i'll be there too, unless i have orientation. no dyno for me tho. still waiting on money for new wheels.
Can NA subies participate as well? I have a very modest power mod that I would like to get some numbers on! Plus I have never been to a dyno, it sounds like fun.
Of course...this event is for WRXatlanta members... regardless of whether it's turbo or not. And having a subaru you won't get put at the end of the line.
Okay, I finally signed up and donated to the site :naughty: Any way I can have or buy a couple little wrxatlanta stickers in black (all you had last time was silver)?
Hey guys! Looking forward to seeing you guys here. I saw a question posed about making adjustments on the dyno during the dyno day. We don't allow for that unless it's a very short thing executed by our staff (like 5 seconds or so ). Due to the amount of people we expect, we just won't have time for that. Also the price is so low because we do 3 quick pulls otherwise it turns out to be not so worth the amount of money we charge. I hope you understand. If you have any other questions like this, please feel free to e-mail me tracy@batlground.com as I find it hard to monitor the forums for questions now-a-days.
Will anyone have their laptop there that already runs their AP1? I am just trying to upload the stage2 93 octane onto my AP1, but I am having problems with connecting to my laptop. I don't have the 9pin serial, and the software I believe doesn't support 9pin to usb. I would greatly appreciate any help.
Directions to Batlground! Batlground Engineering 1770 Atlanta Rd. SE Smyrna, GA 30080 If you take windy hill rd exit from I-75N. Take a left from the exit onto Windy Hill Rd. (If coming from I-75S take a right from the exit). Continue on windy hill (heading west)...cross over 41 (don't run that light it has ticket cameras)...continue...then take a right onto Atlanta rd. It's the road immediately after the railroad overpass. Follow it (north) through 2 traffic lights and start looking for the shop on your left. If you pass the big airforce jet display on a stick on the right side of the road, you've gone too far. (Dobbins is across the street from the shop).
I'm pretty sure you can buy a USB adapter to serial that plugs into your port from Best Buy or similar electronics stores. I've seen them around.
I've heard alot of problems come up when trying to do that...you really need to use a computer with a serial port. It seems to be the only way to make it work.
Ive got a serial to usb and have yet to have an issue arise while datalogging. Perhaps you just need one of reasonable quality.
Not gonna be able to make it. I can't afford to spend $50 atm, got valenteines day/gf's birthday/anniversary all happening in the same of three days.
