Ok so sinse I got back from the moutian trip my brakes are gone. I guess this is from all the down hill braking. So i am going to get slotted roters and new pads. What pads is every one using for the street?

^^^ my bobcats squeeked like a motha and burned up quick and actually ended up warping my rotors... I don't know for sure, but I think they were installed incorrectly by Topspeed.... Ended up going back to stock pads before I sold it.

I have heard from everybody not to get cross drilled or slotted rotors. (i have both >_<) I forget why but... it's what I have heard.

I like my axis ultimates...I'm gonna try another pad though next time around, cause these are super dusty...I usually go through subydude.com for brake stuff, he usually has some good deals...that's where I got my pads and slotted rotors...but there's always our site vendors to check out as well...

Did you end up getting the rotors and pads? I would have suggested the steelbraided lines also. As far as pedal feel goes, the lines made a huge difference. They got rid of a lot of the vibrations from the abs as well.

+3 for the bobcats, they never make any noise but the do dust pretty bad. I'm on my third set.

They didn't last on little Talladega for me though.

I did slotted roters and hawk brake pads. I did not get steelbraided lines. I did not even think about it when I placed my order. Is there any where in town that sells them?

What are you gonna do with your old front rotors?
I've been looking for some WRX stock rotors actually....

Does your upgrade include new caliper brackets as well?

Good choice on the slotted instead of drilled... We've seen A LOT of cars with drilled rotors come in with bad heat/stress cracks

I'll attest to this. The Cobb Stage 1 braking package is a nice deal. I've got the Hawk HPS and they're good, my only complaint is that it seems they dont brake as good unless you're really stepping on it; I think SS lines would help them bite a little harder.

With slotted and/or drilled rotors, you cant turn/resurface them if youve got a pulsation or if you replace pads and arent going to just pad slap it. Id personally go with a larger rotor than going to a slotted/drilled if youre looking for more braking performance. Just my .02

edit: it is possible to turn slotted/drilled rotors - my bad.
