You should come hang out regardless. Bring the gf to the Dyno Day and tell her you're taking her on a surprise trip for V-Day, Birthday and anniversary.
i paid last night via paypal so maybe there isn't a cutoff. hopefully there isn't b/c it took my $50. see you guys saturday
we plan to cut paypal about 24 hours before the event... that way we can ensure that everyone who has prepaid is on file lets set the deadline to 12 noon on friday we encourage everyone to prepay... it helps things go much smoother at the event when updating lists and monetary transactions are eliminated
This is just a general post to everyone dynoing. Is anyone here dynoing just a standard StageII OTS wrx (04-05)?
Probably. I imagine we'll have a couple walkins since not so many people preregistered. I'd expect it to pull ~220-230whp and probably 240lb of torque to the ground.
Maybe kinda a dumb question, but Is there any reason I should dyno if under the hood of my subie is stock ???
Get a good baseline, so that whenever you start adding mods you have a basis as to how much you actually gained from the mods themselves. Then you can sue the companies for claiming 20whp gain from an intake. :keke:
I have a hks catless dp in my garage but after hearing what most people had to say I think I will wait for the cobb catted turboback..
EM should take care of that. I experienced it for a week when I got my UP/Catless TBE installed. Then it went away with EM. But I dont have an STI.
HKS is not a good dp. It has a flat plate right in front of the wastegate. If a bellmouth or divorced wastegate design wasn't important, then why would all the new dp's coming out have this feature.
^^^ agreed. looks like i will still be able to make this, but still no dyno for me. even tho i willhave my new wheels i got a bad throw-out bearing or something of the sort. plusi haven't done any mods since my last dyno tuning.
HKS is an improvement over stock, but not necessarily leaps and bounds. Bellmouth, imo, is the superior design. Divorce, imo, creates less turbulance, but substantially more than bellmouth.
I'm not sure if I will be able to have my car fixed by then, but it just might. Hopefully my car will be ready tomorrow night, which means I can't prepay. So at least they are accepting cash on the day of the event, I dont' mind waiting to be dyno'd towards the end. Regardless of the status of my car, I'll definitally come by.
I'll have mine. I gotta say, though, I don't know when I'll be there. I haven't taken the time to plan the day. DD
What we've been told is to expect roughly 4 cars an hour. Milo and I went and checked out the shop tonight, plenty of space. It should make for a great event! Also, Batl is WRXAtlanta.com's newest vendor!
I saw that, but for some reason I have never been able to pull up any products on their page for the WRX.
we should have name tags so we know who is who on the boards LOL Probably sounds stupid, but I did this a long time ago for a group and it worked out pretty well
ATTENTION: Everyone putting their cars on the dyno Please ensure that either the underbody hooks or the subframe on your car is visible and acessible. On the roller dyno, your car will be chained in place using some of these points. If you have the plastic panel covering the subframe, please remove it before coming to the event. This will make transitions between cars much smoother.
Hmmm...is the rear secured on the rollers? I don't have hooks on the rear anymore...had to remove for hitch installation.
Yes the rear will be strapped down as well...I'm not sure there is anything else to use down there other than the tow hooks. If the hitch is secure enough, i'd imagine you could use that. Though they usually like to have a wider grip on the vehicle, at least one strap on each corner.
The hitch is obviously secure, but don't want to chance anything. I may be out then. Are refunds issued?
I would call them up and ask them...never hurts. Tracy should be able to find out about it for you. Just let her know what year wrx it is and stuff and she'll go ask brandon or dan. Or she may know if they can use a hitch or not off hand.
I'll make sure there are some there, I think we only have silver ones left. Alex should also be bringing some club t-shirts to sell.
