not sure where to put this. since in the last 6 months or so i have made significant upgrades to my car in just about every aspect of it should i still go in for my 60,000 mile checkup? i'm not really sure what all it includes. i bought the car with 39000 miles on it. anyone?

that's what i was thinking. this is my first car that i've had with less than 60,000 miles and so i only know what i've read from other guys have paid for them and i don't want to pay that much especially if it's not really important right now

Following is recommended at 60k miles

    REPLACE
Engine Oil (you can do it)
Enging Oil Filter (you can do it)
Spark Plugs (you can do it)
Fuel Filter (if you have 02-04 wrx, you can do it)
    Air Cleaner Filter (duh~)
Coolant (ain't that hard to do)
Brake Fluid (you can do it)

Inspect Following Items. Replace if necessary
Drive Belts (the two belts in the front in V-shapes) (You can do it)
Camshaft Drive belt (not sure on this)
Fuel line (not sure on this since there will be some unvisible fuel lines)
Cooling System (you can do it)
Clutch system (you just got new tranny, right?)
Transmission Oil (you just got new tranny, right?)
Rear Diff Oil (you just got new tranny, right?)
Brake line (convert to SS line if you haven't)
Brake pads (upgrades pads if you haven't')
Parking brake (you can do it)
    Suspension (you can do it)
Wheel Bearing (time consuming, but still you can do it)
Axle boots & joints (you can do it)
Tire Rotation ( you can do it)
Steering system (how about new alignment??)

I got this list from Owner's Manual and added my comment. As long as you know how to change your engine oil, you can do most of required and recommended services. It's just time consuming.

At SOG, here's what we do:

    The usual oil change
Transmission flush (AT) Transmission gear oil change (front diff on AT, the whole deal on MT)
    Rear diff oil
Spark plugs on everything (H6, turbo's, N/A's, you name it)
Complete BG fuel induction service (special spray thingy with a mix of chemicals that clean the carbon build up off the back of your intake valves and all inside your intake manifold)
    Rotate and balance tires
replace PCV valve, air filter, fuel filter, wiper blades (if needed)
Add BG fuel additive to the gas tank

I think thats most if not all of it.

Along with that you get a service wash and vacuum included, and a complete and total vehicle inspection (where we look at everything to make sure its all in good working order)

    JDM!
