need your help

    does anyone here happen to have a plasma cutter, i need to cut a set of springs.

    Interesting request, but why wouldnt you just use a dremel with a nice cutting wheel ?

    figured quickest is easiest, we are gonna put the springs on as they are and see about the height. I'll probably just get someone with a grinder to cut them up if i decided to.

    there ya go...it wont take that much longer with a high power grinder and a solid wheel.

    you may use a grinder to grind a flat on the last couple of inches

    if i end up doing it i will heat up the last coil and collapse it even with the next coil and then grind it at an angle so its almost completely flat across.

    these are actually for my cadillac, so they arent really subaru involved.

    Using a grinder or band saw to cut thru spring steel is NOT easy and certinly time consuming.
