Well Keegan (KeeganXT) and Tereance (AirMax95) will have some new goodies and i've offered to provide a garage (2-car) for them to use to install their parts. So in lieu of bowling this week (since it didn't really happen the last couple of weeks) we are gonna do this most of the afternoon (and probably into the night) keegan is doing a rear strut, rear sway and endlinks. tereance is doing a turbo-back exhaust and possibly an up-pipe. I know the weather is calling for thundershowers but like i said i have a garage. I also realize it might be short notice for alot of u guys, but i am off that day and Keegan can make it around 3pm and tereance i'm guessing would be much later. so I figured the three of us could use any help we could get. If ANYONE is interested in helping out, doing a similar small/basic install, bringing food, bringing beer, or whatever then feel free to stop by. the address is in a newer neighborhood so it might not show up for you guys wanting to use mapquest or similar searches. if you need help, get lost, or need anything feel free to PM me here, IM me or call my cell (912)507-4960. address: 2591 Willow Grove Rd. Acworth, GA 30101
Ok sounds good. The more the better. Yeah sorry; its really close to the city limits of both. Got a new cell: 7706051949
I might be able to show up for a few hours. I've got some 'free time ' that day, and she doesn't get off til 6 so... What time are you starting? 3?
yeah we will probly start around 3 MAYBE a little before. but ill be off all day, probly won't wake up till noonish tho. but, whatever.
pending Nemisis has the turboback ready I will be installing it with an uppipe. If not, I will still show up
oh we will be. cuz (correct me if i'm wrong tereance) but airmax95 doesnt even get off till around 5-6 and he works in the perimeter area, so....
Well, looks like I'll be attending at around 6pm to buy keegan's endlinks. Does anyone have a mapquest or google maps link on the location? I can't get the address to come up on either of those...
The thin red line is Willow Grove Rd. His town house is on the left side of that road. You have to get off of the Wade Green Exit off I-75N. Take a right off the exit on to wade green. Continue on Wade Green till you hit the Hickory Grove/Wooten Lake intersection where Mcdonalds is on your left. Take a left onto Hickory Grove. Continue on that road till you see an intersection (Baker and Hickory Grove) with a shell station on your right. Cecil Lake Rd NW is on your left immediately after that traffic light. Take that left then immediate right onto Willow Grove Rd.

If anyone needs help doing UP/DP, I have done it before on mine, provided you have an O2 socket, dremel for lower heat shield and preferably a new heat shield on top.
if you want to keep the turbo heat shield, you'll need to cut it up some to make way for the wider mouth. i've heard most people just ditch it, but when I did mine with my dad, we had all the tools so we cut it until it fit back in.
I bought the cusco heat shield from Sakari and its awesome. It costs more than cobb but you can throw away the stock heatshield bracket, as the cusco only bolts to the intercooler bracket. Super easy.
Wow work one day and we got ourselves a party. There is plenty of parking tho. See every one there. Call me Keegan or Tereance if u get lost
can i do just the uppipe and run stage 2 on my AP or do i still need the DP? o and if i bring food for you guys, could anyone help me gut my uppipe and install it for me? i know you guys are hungry for some GOOD greek food.. Ped knows what i'm talkin bout heh
to run stage 2 I'd think the downpipe is just as important if not more than the uppipe. and i'm not sure how to gut an up pipe...but we'll have wireless internet so we can figure it out.
mockinbird, I'd suggest waiting for the stage 2 map until you get the up&dp in. It'll be worth the wait, just like the Greek food is. Still not sure if I can make this or not, but I'll do my best. Funny thing is that I used to live on Insdale Trace just right up the road.
i think its really important we have an air compressor if we're going to gut a stock Up. it is absolutely critical we get every bit out of that thing before sticking it back in.
yeah, i dont have an air compressor. this is intended to be an all hand tool install day. i think gutting an up pipe might be a little too much... if u can get it gutted before-hand then sure we'll help u install it.
Does anyone have time to go by SOG and get gaskets for the UP/DP?????? It would be greatly appreciated.
How to gut an uppipe: Click here (I'm assuming you have a WRX and not an STi) Yes, stage 2 map REQUIRES a downpipe, as it is intended for the unblocked wastegate that an aftermarket DP will provide. Gutting the UP is more of a safety feature than performance. (A 10hp gain is wishful thinking.)
Remember that they are trying to sell them to you, so they tend to stretch the truth a bit. When I went stage 2, I did the UP about a month later just to avoid the dreaded precat meltdown. Didn't notice any power gain.
So you got the invidai down pipe right? Where'd you end up getting an uppipe from...oh and yeah that was me downtown on peachtree this past friday...small world huh?
I remember! Traffic was the pits!!!!! I got the DP and the catback......i am getting Milo's flex up *EDIT* no catback.......got other obligations to tend to first....
Yeah mostly just faster spool. Oh this is happening rain or shine by the way since I have a garage. We'll just have to rotate in and out
