I have $400 cash and I need tires and I need them mounted and balanced. Where do I go? Not looking for the best of tires but I would like to have some quality

tell us what size of tires that you need. Most of tire shops do not stock high-performance tires since they are mostly low demand

I got Flip on the case so I think everything is alright but just in case that falls through they are 225 45 17's (pretty common size)

+1 for Kieran at Gran Turismo and if he does not have it he will order it from me same day at American Tire.

Order the tires online, do not go into a store and purchase tires. The markup is insane at the chain tire places. Use vulcantire.com, tires.com, and tirerack.com. I found the cheapiest sets of tires at vulcan, and the shipping was inexpensive. Even though tires.com provides free shipping to their stores, the cost of the tires was still more than the total cost at vulcantires.com. If you aren't racing, make sure you get a higher treadware so you aren't burning through your tires too fast, anything above 280.

Why do you have to have them by tommorow?

    This is true

I need them because I am going to the drag strip Fri. and I don't want to go with the bald tires that I have and I really don't trust them as far as I can throw them

Bald tires could be faster than treaded tires (greater contact patch). Also, is the drag strip worth paying an extra 100-200 for tires?

Well I need them anyway and I know that bald tires are good for the track but with our cars it really doesn't matter too much. Its more of the fact that Reynolds is pretty far away and I don't trust my tires to get me there and race and get me back so therefor I need new tires.

Ok it seems I'm in the same predicament as STi, but for different reasons. I have this HUUUUGE nail stuck on the sidewall of my front left tire. It's not leaking but I'm sure if I took it out it would leak. I haven't taken it off yet since the tire hasn't gone flat in near 20hrs so far. I have an alignment appointment at SOG on Saturday 10am. So I need to buy the tires tomorrow and get them put on.

I'm also thinking the same, 225/45 on my stock 17s. I was hoping for Falkens but I donno. My budget is also in the $400 range for all 4 mounted. Since I'm gonna pay SOG for alignment, I will get it done there.

Thanks, please PM me ASAP or call me at 770-356-9498. Thanks. Decent tires please. As for GTE, I won't get off work in time to make it there to get the tires.
