I was driving like a bat out of hell today and bam no more boost. I was told to believe that a hose was loose. Any suggestions. Btw no check engine light no flashing cruise. Thanks guys! -Joe

My best guess would be the E clip that holds the wastgate actuator arm on the turbo. That happened to me a couple times actually.

You could also check the lines coming from the EBCS going to the turbo and the wastegate. If the line were off the wastegate you would have super boost. Not sure about the turbo though.

Check the vaccum line going to and from the turbo to the EBCS. Make sure they haven't dry rotted or split (they can look fine...wiggle them). Is the turbo spinning at all? Check the wastegate actuator also. If everything looks fine the best bet is the turbo is lodged and not spinning however datalogging will show you that.

If it feels like it's boosting yet nothing registers on the gauge check the lines on the gauge itself. They cheap ones like the Autometer with nylon lines suck....they get brittle and crack after a while.

Then cool check the vaccum hoses on the defi's for splits and cracks and kinks.

aftermarket catback? could be boost creep? sounds like what happens to some people i've talked to including me. where i would be boosting, and bam...boost cuts off. don't know if you're experiencing the same symptoms as me though.

if everything seems fine mechanically, try resetting the ECU

Does your car still drive fine? Does it feel like there is no boost? Is the boost less than 9psi?

If the answer is yes to the above questions than most likely the clip that holds the wastegate actuator came loose, which allows the wastegate to completely open.

Now if the car drives like crap now and hesitates than most likely one of the couplers from the intercooler or piping came loose.

I have a buddy with an 04 STI and his car is acting much in the same way. His car seems to run fine, it just wont make more than 10.3lbs of boost according to my Delta Dash logger on my laptop. Boost will ramp up quickly but just wont go any further. He's bone stock. I reset the ECU 2 times with no change. Thoughts...
