I've noticed that a lot of people voted for 3/24 on the spring break mtn run thread. I will be up in the mountains on Saturday, so it would be great if anybody joined me. I'll probably head up there around 11am-noon. BTW, i'm not trying to undermine your mtn run GTScoob , just wanted to throw this up here. EDIT: We will meet up at the home depot at exit 14 on ga 400 at 11:00am. After that we'll head north on 400. Take a left at the redlight when 400 ends (hwy 60) follow that through Dahlonega until you come to the R ranch (Rock pile) take a right on hwy 19, continue to Hwy 129, left on 129, follow that til tyou come to hwy 180 (left), follow that all the way back to hwy 60 (Suches) (thanks Greg)
I am not positive, but I am def. interested in a run, I have a few friends with a focus svt, and s2k's that might be interested too.
I think he said around 11am. i don't know if he wants to meet in Cumming again or just meet at the wal-mart in Dahlonega
I was thinking of meeting up at the home depot at exit 14 off of 400. Is 11am too early for y'all? We can make it at noon if that's better.
Yeah, we'll meet up at the home depot at exit 14 at 11:00am. Then we'll head north on GA400 to Dahlonega. Greg can you post better directions? I don't exactly know the names of the roads up there.

Oh that sounds like fun. I will try to make it at 11 but it may be too early as my wife has some plans for the AM. If I don;t see you, I'll take thsi route. Look for a dark silver TT with amber interior
ok cool. Also, i have an empty seat if anyone just wants to ride. EDIT: I haven't installed the lap belts yet for the pass. side, so you'd have to wear the stock seat belt...
Yeah, i saw you in the silver tt, that's a nice car. How did it handle? BTW, i had a good time today, we hit some nice roads. I'll try to post the vid as soon as possible.
We passed right before the intersection of 60 and 400. Thanks for the compliment, the car is pretty fun. It handles awsome really. Since it is a special edition is has 18" wheels and a stiffer suspension then most TT's. You always feel it's weight up front but the chasis is so responsive that you can drive around the weight (if that makes sense). The DSG tranny is cake and the quattro is pretty seemless. I drove 60 to 180 to 19/129. I got stuck behind some slow movers but still ahd fun. How did you guys go?
well i changed it up a bit. Did 60/180 129N to 348 back to 129 I will have to say the slow movers we hit usually pulled over for us which was very nice.
I wish I would have seen this thread in time. I think it's been almost a year since I've been up there.
oooooh ok, I remember now, I flashed back and waved. I wasn't even thinking about it, I just assumed there were cops ahead :wavey:
my car is in the shop gettin an '06 tranny and new brakes dropped in. i will be up for another run in the next couple of weeks or so. and then another one if i get some other suspension goodies
anyone going next week/weekend(7-8)? I'm planning on going up to brasstown bald sometime during that week.
