I finally got it all together and was able to drive the car today.

At first I could only get the clutch pedal to work and get the car into 2nd because disengagement point was right at the floor. I adjusted the rod to the clutch pedal as much as I could and now it is just off the floor. Now I am able to get into all the gears. I would still like to raise it a little more but at least it works.

Heres an older picture. Unfortunately the wheels are no longer on the car.

Fucking brilliant mate! My dad had an SVX a while back and the only complaint he had was the auto. Now you've got yourself a little piece of perfection. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you? And how hard was it to do?

I have always wanted to drive an SVX. I have thought about getting a stock one as a daily driver from time to time. They are so rare though.

I still have a hard time believing Porter sold that car.

I bought the car for 1900. It came with a 5spd tranny from a 90 something Forestor , a rear diff and an engine gasket set. I sold the tranny and the rear diff and put the 5spd from my Wrx in it.

It took a little over a year to do because I suck at fabricating parts and I didn't need the car so I wasn't in a hurry. On a scale of 1 to 10 I'd say this is about an 11. If you do it by yourself like I did its a 12.

Congrats Mike. I bet the wife is happy that car no longer has to sit immobile in your garage. Now if you could just do something about the 30 million spare parts laying around, she would really be happy.

Josh has a black SVX. I think he was talking about Chris and his green SVX. Chris still has his too last time I heard.

Chris still has his. He sold his diesel rabbit though.

It is gonna take some change to make it a race car. I'd trade him wheels plus cash to get him started.

I always thought the SVX was a solid reliable car if you took care of it and just simply drove it and not mod ANYTHING.
