seems like it... i'm using the perrin unit... the tubes that go in and out of the unit have significantly smaller ID than the rest of the tubing in the system... this is quite probably offering resistance to the crank case ventilation system... i plan to have larger holes drilled into the catch can and run larger ID tubes

however, i believe the direct cause of my problem was the mounting position of the catch can and its design... it was mounted where the factory boost solenoid used to be located... the perrin catch can has tubes sticking straight up... i think i didn't have much clearance when the hood was closed which ended up pinching one of the (or both) tubes, hence plugging the system... i have relocated it close to the firewall so hopefully the problem is fixed

Yeah Milo the catch cans ID needs to be at least 1/2" on the tubing and the nipples. Bigger is better. It will build up back pressure and cause the same thing that happen when my PVC stopped up and made my car leak oil everywhere. Not a good thing.
