Ok here it is we finally put the car on the dyno. I'm sure Scott will post up the charts when he gets a chance.

On 93 octane pump gas it made 409hp and 385tq at 20.5psi

On 110 octane race gas it made 450hp and 415tq at 23psi

Its pretty freaking fast, I see full boost on the street by 3600 rpms

HP is completely flat from 4500rpms to redline.

The setup for those that don't know

    Precision Custom GT30R with .48(yes .48)backside
    Perrin setup kit
    Turbo Dave custom intake
    JIC Titanium Exhaust
    750cc injectors
    Walboro
    Perrin Front Mount
    Turbo Dave custom intercooler piping
HKS Recirc Race Blow Off Valve
    Cobb Access Port

That's pretty much it I guess. We ran out of waste-gate spring so that was all the boost we could get out of it. We will be retuning it once I get a new spring. Oh and I'm going to throw on the Meth kit this weekend. I expect to see between 475 and 500hp on race gas and methanol.

a .48 hotside? do you expect to have any problems with such a small hotside on such a big turbo?

Those are great numbers, ive just never heard of such a small hotside on a 30r

Nope it spools somewhere in between a FP green and a FP red but out powers the red everywhere. You just have to know what to ask for if you want the small backside.

What do you mean when you say that you have to know what to ask for? Are you talking about where to set the boost?

You can call up Precision Turbo and order up any turbo you want in just about any combination.

    My turbo is a GT30R or 3076 mine has a T04S compressor cover and a .48 backside.

Thats a larger than normal compressor cover and a smaller than normal backside. I have something new in the works I want to try but I'm not sure if it will be ready by then.

No problem, glad to help. The car is still a work in progress

Just let me know when you want a ride.

I just saw a twin scroll GT30R hotside setup the other day...wondering how THAT would spool! I think it was a T3 hotside maybe? It was divorced, not sure if that is the same function as twin scroll, but it looked like it.

Matt have you seen any exhaust housing like I am describing? Divorced up like a twin scroll...I wanna say it was a T04e or some form of T04 housing.

I haven't seen one but I'm sure someone is working on one. After OLOA I think Ill probally put a high compression motor in and something a little bigger than what I'm currently running.

I can't tell if its actually a twinscroll or not, I suspect that its just a divided entry. Oh, one thing I noticed while on their site, the anti surge housings are garbage, these turbos don't surge on subarus. So the anti surge crap just causes extra turbulence.

They claim it is on their home page...they have some sort of announcement about it on there. I kinda have my doubts as well though. Nice to know about the anti-surge housings. I can't wait to see the graph! This is on the Sti or wrx? I would love a ride in this bad boy!

Its a STI, the tune is still fairly conservative since its setup to road race.

I thought I had it on my flash drive, but I don't. I'm in Chicago with my parents right now. My dad's in the hospital. I'll post the plots on Monday when I get back.

Ouch, just got my father out of the hospital so I know how you are feeling. Not much fun at all. In fact I have to go in the morning to take him back for a follow up.

Looks good. Thanks for having a *real* dyno run posted. I get tired of dyno graphs starting @ 3k rpm.

I'm going to throw it on a dynojet later this week and see what it does, the graph is kinda weird because on the street we see full boost at 3500-3600rpms.

    Very strange.

Just out of curiosity when are you seeing peak load when you log it?

Ill let Scott answer that because I don't have any of the logs on my computer.

as I dive more into the GT30R research, here is the result of bigger side of .82 on a GT3076 from Perrin, I suppose the myth about T31 housing limiting power is very minimal

Not exactly clear on what header the owner is running but it is impressive anyway you look at it. I have yet to see an UltimateRacing kit (GT housing) that has the power to match, also not sure how the cold air intake from UR will affect power and/or if the MAF (Big or normal) will be maxed etc.

The setup is going to change after one lap. I've been talking to Geoff at Full-Race and I'm pretty much first in line for one of their new manifolds. We will probally throw this turbo back on it first for a back to back comparison, but soon it will be getting something a little larger.

Little larger eh? 35R territory or 40R territory? I can't wait to get the Element GT52 on my car.

Well until the built motor is done, probally just the 30r but with a full-race manifold. Once the 10 to 1 2.7 liter motor is done then I'm thinking something right in between a 30r and a 40r.

    650whp should be about right.

Hmmm wicked spool and killer power or killer power in one WIDE ASSED powerband.....hmmmmmm I'd take the wide power band with less shifting!
