Ok, so I have the Prodrive Blue's on my 02. I want to go a little lower, but I love the ride on the Prodrives, better than stock.

What are some other good options that would give the closest ride feeling, but lower than the Prodrives.

I have the same springs, I am going to Ground control on my car.

All other springs with comparable spring rates (ride comfort) don't drop the car any more significantly then it already is with the Prodrives. Maybe like .2" more in the front or something. Start thinking about ground control springs or coilovers, I would not go to sport springs.

bigger wheels might fill in the gap some also

I am going with 18" wheels again. So it may work.......

I think the Espelir Active Sport Down springs are a similar rate but much lower. They'll fit on your 02 struts also. Other lower springs would be something like the Tanabe GF210s or DF210s (GF is for handling, DF is for comfort), or the Tein S/H-techs (S is for performance, H is for comfort but both are pretty bad performing).

yea..S Techs are way to soft but they are very comfortable and look awesome!

I have seen lots of Tanabe springs, they look very good.

    The Tein springs, blah.......

Bigger wheels only work if you have a higher aspect ratio on the tires than you are supposed to also. For the WRX on an 18", you have to have any tire that is higher than 40, but this will also change your speedometer.

And effectively change your gearing as well...

not to mention, increase the load on your transmission... not necessarily a good idea on the weak 5 speed

    Watch it buddy....:hsnono:

I was just on Nasty looking at 17's on cars. They actually look ok, not mention, more rubber to ride on. I will have to do some thinking. I don't want to scrape the ground, but I do want an aggressive stance.

I thought about this, But Gran Turismo said the prodrives a way to weak to be cutting on.

Well you're more likely to rub on a low soft spring versus a low stiff spring since the car will move around more.

I'll trade you my whitelines. There is very little gap even with the stock 16's. It's actually a little too low for my liking. The ride is nice but speedbumps can be a little nerve wracking.

Go ahead, I am going to get the wheels first and see how it looks......

I love the Pordrive ride too much right now

  23. remember that going lower will effectively change your alignment too, and you will not be able to get the propper (according to stock orientation) geometry the lower you go, a set of adjustable control arms would be a good thing to look into as well (learned alot form this book, I will see what other goodies I can dig out of it for this section:naughty: )
