So I called Classic for an estimate: ~$300 for the front, ~$300 for the rear....

I have done the brakes on my old Honda numerous times.......I will learn the ways of the Subaru

Will anyone be able to help me this week to install pads? I need them done bad, the damn warning pin is irritating as hell! I have not bought a new tool set, so those would be needed.

    Drinks to all helpers....

might as well get SS lines and new fluid while you're down there. HSNTV has some very easy to follow video tutorials.

I need to do mine too. But I think I need the rotors turned. But from what I've seen:
http://www.weblumen.com/subaru/brakepads.html, it looks pretty easy. I had a Honda before this and I changed those a few times.

    Where do you live?

Yeah, I may do that also. Not really in the plan, but it may be worth it.

I live in College Park, but I work in Alpharetta. I can meet where ever, plus I do not have any tools.
I looked at the write-up, looks like the Accord did, seems simple enough.

I'm downtown Atlanta. I might be able to do late Saturday (3-4pm). I'll have to get back to you. What pads are you putting on? Oh, and I have tools.

well apparently Keegan's downpipe will be here on saturday. I work 9-6, and then we can knock out his downpipe pretty quick. if it's just pads ur wanting to do, we could probly do that after his downpipe...

I am porbably going to tackle this tonight. Cheap pads for now......new rotors and performance pads later.....

I have lots of things going on and need to conserve money for about a month.

not sure who you talked to when you called, but a brake job is $240 front and $240 rear at classic, which includes resurfacing rotors, replacing pads and lubing slides. anyway good luck with the brake install g2g. pm me if you run into any problems and need some advice.

How did the install go? SOG Quoted me at around $500, and then I went over to our local Big 10 Tires and they told me $320. I may call them back and see how much it would cost if I provided my own pads, but then again I heard that they used two different sizes on 2002 WRX's (one size for early models and one size for late models) and I have no way of telling unless I physically measure them

I may just put it into Big 10 Tires and get normal brake pads, seeing as I don't take my car to the track ever anyways.

It is very easy. I am impatient, possibly ADD, and tired as hell after work everyday. I did it in like and hour. There is a write-up here that tell you how to do it.

    Only one bolt!
