catless uppipe, bigger topmount, engine management for power. Have you considered any suspension mods (springs, struts, swaybars)? getting stiffer motor mounts, pitch mount and tranny mount make a noticable difference. steering rack bushings and shifter bushings are a nice touch with a short shifter. remember there are a lot of mods that make the car perform better besides power.

yeah with all this ^^^. That's about it until you get a bigger turbo, which you would need bigger injectors and fuel pump to run. But EM or a reflash tuner will give you a huge increase if you haven't done so already. And to truely unlock what you already have you gotta get a tune.

yeah, i'd recommend uppipe and EM w/ a protune if you can.

Also, if you're gonna do any mountain runs or autoX, you'll notice the stock brakes and suspension just won't do. :hsnono:

Get an Uppipe for the least expensive mod to help you out the most. The install is a PITA though.

Yeah, when I did my exhaust kit. Or not even that, when I took my uppipe out for some work to be done on it, I still had to take out the down pipe just to get to the bolts on the uppipe. But it is a good move for less than 200 bucks, which will help out a lot when you tune the car with some sort of engine management.

cool thanks for the help. i have replaced up pipe now. what are the restrictions as far as boost? i recently purchased a gready profec b spec 2 boost controller. running about 16-17 psi. is this safe? i have not thrown any check engine codes, runs fine but what are the long term effects?

be careful running a boost controller without engine management. 16-17 psi should be ok. Actually with Engine management you dont even need a boost controller. are you getting accessport or ecutek?

correct me if i am wrong but if you get tuned by SS you can adjust boost for both accessport and ecutek? you can adjust it yourself with street tuner yes?
