Tire Size have always been confusing to me no matter what i do. Anyway here's the deal I got on my car right now the 225/45R/17 Potenza RE070 I just found some Falken Azenis ST 115's 235/40 17 for well my broke laptop they only have about 1000 miles on them so I figured it would be nice to have some semi new tires here. but with the different size would I be going bigger sidewall or what? Also anyone ever use the Falkin Azenis St pros and cons. IM going to go read on tire rack but I rather her it from someone who's rode on them.
I had the 115's on my Type-R (y0!). I loved them. they stuck well. ONce you get them too hot, they get greasy. They also pretty much SUCK in a heavy downpour.
How different are the Azenis ST from non-ST? or is there such a thing? But I read Azenis suck on standing water roads and are louder then other high-performance tires on normal road conditions. I may end up getting the Falken RT615s or whatever that is.
You can use the tire size calculator on tirerack.com. It will tell you the overall diameter difference in percentage. You can mutiply that by your speed to see how far off your speedometer will be. Anything more than 1 or 2% is too much. You will have to get your speedo recalibrated. If these are just for racing then don't worry about it.

Otherwise disregard the following: I had some 245/40/17's that lasted me nearly 30,000 miles with aggressive driving. Now I'm running 245/45/17's which I believe to be a little quieter. On a 7.5 rims BTW.
