I've gone to some of those subaru parts websites, and the filter was at a great price of roughly 10 bucks. Until going to the shipping page where it was as much as the product itself :eek3:

Anyone know where I can get a stock air filter for less than 20+ bucks shipped?

meh, I've heard questionable things about them. Some say they are better, others say they aren't worth it. Besides I'm not pushing anymore power than stock so stock air filter works fine for me

Maybe go to a dealership and pick one up?

I've heard that it's not good (the k&n) because the oil from it screws with the MAF. This could just be a myth, just something I've heard here and there.

Its possible, I killed a MAF a couple years ago and think that it might have been due to over-oiling the filter. I've been very careful since then.

Get a K&N, you wont ever have to buy another filter and it'll flow better and cleaner than stock.

thanks for the offer, but by the time I factored in the time, gas, and money for the filter it would out weigh just buying a new one.
