  1. this is probably the wrong place to post this but...

i know awhile ago Cobb had OTS maps that you could download to your AccessPORT. im running a Stg 2 OTS map right now Mods are I/TBE/STi Top Mount. And now i just got a VF34, does anyone know where i can download a map that will work for my setup. anyone have this map?

id love to get my car tuned, but right now. i don't have the money for the tune. Thanks, Alex S.

Check Cobbs Website and Forum, the maps are located there...you might be able to post on the forums to see if someone has a similar setup and have them email you the map. Be careful though!

  3. what do you mean?

Well if that map was tuned for someone else's car, they may not be exactly right for your car. Same as if you were using OpenECU or something similar...

OTS maps usually aren't recommended because EVERY CAR IS DIFFERENT and EVERYONE DRIVES DIFFERENTLY. I could have the EXACT same mods as you to the T and with the same OTS maps my car might blow up and yours might run perfectly fine.

if it is an ots map from cobb that applies to his mods it is highly unlikely that his car will blow up. infact cobbs maps run extremely rich so they are pretty safe. I would not run someone elses map unless I knew that person.

Personally, I wouldnt install the new turbo until you were ready to be tuned. but thats just my opinion and we all know what they say about those.

Damn Maniac calm down with the mods. Cobb has a ots map if you get the sti injectors.

Run the off the shelf stage II map and stock turbo until you can afford to get tuned. I'd think that a stock turbo off the shelf map would be better to run powerwise and reliability wise than a big turbo with bad tuning.

Check out the OpenECU/Enguinity stuff, sell your AP, and use the money for a quality tune using free software.

I'm pretty sure cobb has a ots map for the vf34. As everyone else has said, you'd be much better off with a protune, but it's not going to hurt you.

Yea what everyone else has said already, but I haven't found a VF34 map but I think they had some others that were different from VF39. Anyways, I'm running the VF39 OTS map now until next week.

I have both the VF30 and VF34 maps from Cobb's site. I could probably email them to you. It's simple to download, and worked fine for me.

He has an '06 so he shouldn't need bigger injectors, right? Read somewhere they're supposed to come from the factory with decent ones.

Could use the 91 octane map and keep running 93 in it just to be safe.

  19. ... thanks for everyone replying.. would it hurt my car if i run revert my car back to stock and run it like that? im sure it will, but i just have the money for a tune :( and i wanna install it so bad. :)

You should NOT run your car with stock map if you have a different turbo and TMIC. I hear that's bad deal. If you are still using the stock boost solenoid and restrictor pill setup then I think ECONO Mode will work until you can get this straightened out and not hurt your car.
