So it all ended up with us 2nd in class and 9th overall. We are thrilled with this result on our first One Lap attempt. Next year we are going to build something to win it all. Oops, we're rolling out, only a few picts up: More soon. We won our class the second session at Orielly, which makes this pic so appropriate: Here's a good one of all the sponsor stickers on the car: Another: Sort of in reverse order, but this is what we spent Friday doing, stickering the car: Check out the original Hertz mustand with the new one: SS
That is a hell of a result for your first experience with onelap. It is quite the gruelling experience from what I have heard from Dale Seeley.
The guy who rented that..ended up getting in trouble for it. Apparently Hertz has GPS systems in those, and they monitor what the car is doing while you are driving it. He got a call after a few events and they made him return it because the car was not doing what it was intended for or something. He ended up with some other car to finish off one lap.
Tony Swan's Car and Driver write up is online now. Got some sweet pics on it too.. http://www.caranddriver.com/features/13001/2007-one-lap-of-america.html
