Drag Slicks

I have a buddy looking for some tires for his Eclipse. We went to the track yesterday and he was still spinning when he crossed the line. It was only an 8th mile track but still, the car had 19's on it. So if anyone knows of some new or used for a good deal hit me up.

Do they make slicks in 19's....

 

I've never seen any. Hes gunna get some other wheels for track use.

 

I know Nitto makes a drag tire....not sure if it's that big tho

 

pretty sure going that big a wheel and launching puts a ridiculous stress on your axles too.

 

i dont think they mae slicks in 19"'s try using better street tire.

NO no no..... I dint mean we want a 19" slick. ( my bad ) I was just sayin we were still spinnin those heavy ass wheels when we crossed the line. We are looking for some 16" .

Has anyone ever seen the video where the donk is doing a burnout on its 40"ish wheels and just throws an axle and wheel right off the car.

A 19" with a 35 aspect ratio is never considered a race tire wheel combo. It may look "racey", but its a really bad idea, considering in most cases wheels weigh more than rubber. The higher aspect ratio helps the rubber constrict and grab rather than a small ar where the tire just constantly slips.
