Wow, and here I was thinking my PC was outdated......you guys call yourself MEN?!? MEN???? Go upgrade your PCs right now! Nothing less then a Core2Duo with 1GB of ram.
I didnt feel like cluttering the thread with 1680x1050 screens, so I resized them for ya. Who wants to play?
I'm up for some play time tonight. around 8pm? I'll host if you want, I have the 8mb/1mb comcast cable EDIT: Post a link to the add-ons you have.
Brett is coming over for a sec, then Ill throw up the addons... Took this one today, tire wall at 150mph, haha... Forgot to include this one yesterday
Here's the V1.1 updated: http://www.10tacle.com/gtr-game/downloads/GTR2_1100_US_Update.rar Any additional modifications can be found on http://www.racesimulations.com/GTR2/downloads/1028.html (registration required to download).
I may still be out at dinner around 8PM, but when Ill get back Ill check back in It occurred to me that it would be faster for you guys to just download the add-ons from the actual site rather than me uploading them. Ive downloaded a couple new cars, from Ferrari to Corvette. Ive downloaded both the Road America and Laguna Seca tracks. As for mods, I installed the E90 WTCC & the LeMans dealio. I am tempted to try out the new physics that this one guy wrote (he claims he's an actual driver...hah)
here's something interesting..... how to unlock everything http://www.race2play.com/homepage/show_posts/662 I'm going to have a game hosted and up and running on IP 24.98.20.80 password wrx I have opened the necessary ports listed in the FAQ I use a router. Which ports I have to forward to play online? - 34297 (UDP) - 34298 (UDP) - 34347 (TCP) - 34299 (UDP) - 34300 (UDP) - 34349 (TCP)
I went searching for a copy of the game, everyone was out of stock. Hopefully Ill have a copy tomorrow
Whatever I installed earlier today is crashing the game, not sure what it is but just letting you know. It may be the Vette C5R car pack, it could be the 2 ferrari packs I installed.
Kris, did you try to get on my server at all? You have to go into Network, not Internet, and there is an option for manual IP. I think that's where it is. That's how you connect to another server remotely.
Windows firewall, Norton, McAffee all have personal firewalls that easily block access out. Its possible that could be the problem. You may not need to assign a port, however, it may assume that a certain port is open which is completely router dependent.
Doh, login in is case sensitive....on now, but I still suck at driving the vehicles...might need to upgrade my joypad...
you want no rain, you want all the fancy cars and diamond rings, and you complain about a little crash?
Ok I took the server down so I can install it on the 2nd PC to host the server. that way we can change tracks faster or go into race session faster.
Alright, my internet sucks. I should Comcast's pos router keeps shorting out. Hopefully they'll be out soon to replace it. At any rate, Im ready for another game
Keith, I'll send Kris with his many guns out to your house if you do. While you're not busy DOS attacking servers, start downloading courses and cars from this site... http://hosted.filefront.com/LeaguesOnLine/ I'm gonna use their Nordschleife.
Ok server is back up, there are a few more courses like Nords, and Phillipine Island. There are also 4 cars, 2 Zs and 2 GT3s.
Finally got this thing installed and working.... w00t Playing with the mouse SUX BALLS!!! I'm going to have to find a controller or something. There's no way I could play this game using the mouse.
Anyone feel like playing tonight? Just jump on my server and if I see anyone on, I'll send you a message to tell ya that I'm getting on. The server info is on page 3 i think.
