ive bought buyers insurance. im paying by cashiers check when i fly up there. the only thing i dont like is that it uses utech. but in a month or so i can afford ecutek and tune so thats not that big of a deal. what do you guys think. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=170116230172&rd=1&rd=1
81K with all that power on an '02 tranny is asking for trouble... But for ~12k that's not too bad of a deal.
Nah, buy mine in a month for 14 even 20,000 less miles and have a reliable starting point with the premium package!! (Sunroof, heated seats, heated mirrors, heated windshield wiper bottle...) and STi blue carpet apparently...
Not sure yet...maybe turbo'd Miata (only two seat convertible with LATCH...:naughty: ) or new hatch WRX...we'll see....
No! He did the side mount on the license plate (boo). Plus, he has terrible grammar I'd say buy Scott's, or the 11tybillion other people that seem to be parting out here now
i dont want a parted out car that i have to start from scratch on is my problem. and no ugly blob eyes either. bugeyes 4 life!
My '03 is up for sale...http://wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13554 There ya go. SS tuned it up and it's extremely reliable.
i just talked to the tuner himself and the shop. he was the second owner and didnt install anything until jan 07. all installs and tuning was done at machv motor sports. anyone know if this is a reputable shop?
I don't think that's really the issue. Unless you're taking parts off the tranny is going to eventually explode.
i understand what happens when you constantly run 300 hp on a wrx tranny. but thats not my plans. i would like to get a retune in a month. i dont really need all that hp. to me atleast a professional has installed the parts it wasnt done shade tree, and that havent been on super long so most of the parts are pretty new.
are you the new owner? Yes Mach V is a very reputable shop form what I hear. I know that they host huge meets quite often on in NC or Virginia or Maryland or wherever the hell on the east coast they are located. www.fastwrx.com
That car is TROUBLE. but for someone who really wants a bugeye, and has some $$$...it would be an 'ok' starting point for someone who wants to upgrade to a 2.5 and 6 speed swap....about 2 days after they buy the car.
i am th new owner. i do have plans to get utech and mbc for ecutek and tune in the very near future for better reliability. and yes will i have enough for a tranny or block if it calls for it in the near future.
Congrats man! I don't get why everyone is so down on this car. Good luck with everything, and of course, keep us updated!
its late reply but machv deals lot with the evos if its the same machv i know. good buy~ i should have raised the price a little if i had known that you were getting it. LOL j/k.
yep its the same mach v. i cant wait. i fly out of orlando in dc sat to pick it up. drive back is 11 hours. theres no way to start out with a new car like a nice long drive! and its wingless. oh yeah!
sweet JT..congrats bro. glad to see you're back in a subie. so you swinging by ATL on your way back or what? again, congrats.
hmmm i dont know my route takes me down 95 and its already an 11 hour drive like i said so im guessing im not passing through this time but have plans to be there in the near future.
thanks guys and gal. ive already started to change this suby. first ill be buying sways and links. then i want to go with AP and protune instead of the utech. otherwise it will remain unouched for a while.
Yeah!!!! that's awesome news JT....thats a sweet ride, have fun with it, keep us posted when you plan on coming through with that bad boy!!!
