ok so i know a few of you have one. i have a few questions. 1. did you install yourself and if so how hard was the install honestly? 2. if you had a shop install it can i get a round about price for the install?
I had it installed by a friend. The actual install isn't hard at all since it's almost all plug and play. However, making it all look clean was important for me so I had him do it. Also, soldering into the ECU wiring is a bit of a pain, especially since there were multiple pin-out diagrams floating around.
If you have to solder into the ECU, then it isn't plug and play. I think SS is always saying that it is a PITA to install AVC-Rs
Its easy for me to install...since I've installed 11ty billion of them. Its $200 to come to SOG and have me install it. Otherwise, if you are patient and are not 'skeered of wiring....you can do it.
its very easy. You just have to find the right wiring diagram. The one that came with mine was off a little for an 02 wrx
do you happen to have the right one. im not buying the avcr until late july. im just planning ahead budgeting what total cost could be if i didnt do it myself.
