Does anyone use or know anything about the Blitz-Dual Turbo Timer? http://www.flatironstuning.com/shop/pc-895-834-blitz-dual-turbo-timer-dtt-dciv-black.aspx

I understand completely that turbo timers are unneeded for the wrx, but honestly I'm much more interested in the fact that it reads boost. I've wanted a boost gauge for sometime, but I'm a big believer that guages should match, and well, the omori meters seem to be disappearing off the market. Plus, with this I wouldn't have to worry about buying any kind of mounting pod for it. And then of course there's the whole I can run my car without the keys being in it thing:)

I did a search on the site and it seems a lot of people have good things to say about it, but is the boost meter portion of it worth a damn?

Oh yeah, and whats the installation like?

I have the Silver Blitz DTT. I use it only for the boost reading, just like what you are looking for. I like how it matches the interior of my car, and I had it mounted to sit to the left of the retractable cup holder.

Unfortunately, I don't know what they install is like, as I had it installed when I was 17 and my parents were still nervous about me playing with anything on the car, so we took it to the shop. Although, I can't imagine it being too hard ( tap into the boost line w/ the T splitter, plug it into the parking brake and splice some power wires and you're all set).
It only reads boost in HKPA (hyper kilo pascals), but that's basically ATM's and very easy to convert because 1.01 hkpa's = 14.6 PSI

Thanks man, this may become a birthday present from the rents...we'll see. I can't believe in all my years of compiling the parts list I eventually want for my car, I never came across this. I guess the words "Turbo Timer" just always deterred me.

Anyone know anything else about the install? I'm not a complete newb, but by no means an electrician. Is this something that people generally do on their own, or do they usually pay? I know there have got to be at least a couple more people with this part.

Do you have $600 I can borrow (or actually just have), because then I'd be all over it :)
