I am wanting to get an OEM (lamco) boost gauge for my '02 WRX. I see there are 2 different part numbers: H5010FE055 (STI?) and the H5010FE057 (WRX). What is the difference in the 2. I saw one on ebay with clear tubing with it. I think I have seen the stock tubing is black. Will the clear tubing work?

Also, any comments onthe lamco gauge vs. others. I can see it is more expensive. Is it worth it?

get a gauge with a electronic sending unit (Defi or something similiar), they are much easier to install.

How do these connect? Do they take a reading from the ECU somehow?

the mechanical boost gauges run a vaccum line directly to the gauge it self, which is pretty annoying when you are trying to route it from the engine compartment into the cabin. The electronic gauges has a sensor that you put in the engine compartment with a vaccum line connected to it and the sensor sends a electric signal to the gauge.
