Anyone feel like getting together some place tomorrow to wash their car? I have a car wash place at my apt but it's boring to wash the car by yourself for an hour. Any ways, just a thought or I may go get it hand washed for $15.
boring to wash your car? dude that was always something I always enjoyed. It was like instant gratification.
I don't have t be in work until 4 and I need a car wash very badly. Where do you live? I'm in sandy springs
I washed her last night got her dryed and pulled into garage just in time for it to rain....so she got the 2HR wax job (Meguires cleaner wax the the top coat) thank the Lord I woke to dry roads and was blinding people with the WRB!!! I may ride out just to say sup though!!!
I love washing my car..... till I get to the rims... Something about scraping a 1/4 inch of Brembo dust really chaps my hide... It is rewarding when your done though (for at least a day anyway, due to said Brembos....).
Yea where are we gonna do it at? ANybody know a nice Car wash? The one's on Roswell road all have seriously steep driveways so no go there.
So I'm stuck going to IKEA tomorrow at 10am. So I'll post up here when I'm home and ready to wash the car. I hope it won't take too long for my gf and her friend. ummm....that car wash on ROswell is pretty steep, anyone know of a good place?
141 goes west to.. Turns into umm bethelview road I beleve... I am not sure yet. Wanted to see if anyone else was gonna meet up or what.. plus right now i am on baby duty
ok, just got off the phone with strayen. he's going to check out the car wash on Roswell. That hill driving up to it isn't THAT steep. But, that place has a tendency to be quite busy. especially on a nice day like today where it's been raining the past 3 days. where is the place off 141? There is a place I know of that's REAL small over in Smyrna. Other than that, I got nothing.....
Ok that Roswell place looked decently busy. We'll have to do the 141 place. Keith, throw up directions and lets say meet up at 1:45? that gives everyone an hour? That will give youngDz 2 hours to wash his car.
for that, we might as well just go to the typhoon bay carwash on Exit 12. If you're going towards TopSpeed, it's about half mile on the right. nice bays, rarely full. I didn't think we would be heading that FAR north for a car wash. it works though.
that one is fine to...you guys decide since I am on baby duty for a while longer.. hopefully not to long.. LOL
Matt, you're gonna take 285 to 400 right? just meet me at the parking lot of Prado shopping center, where 5 seasons is, towards the front. I'll follow you there. I think we should try to meet there by 1:45-2pm. You think you'll be done by then Keith?
Yea I went out to run errands. we need to start a phone directory lol. I went to the car wash on the intersection of Holcomb Br and roswell rd(where roswell rd turns into Alpharetta Hwy) The car wash there is $2.00 and is only good for 4 min (no bueno). But it does have the triple foam wash! (if anybody decides to use it) The one on Roswell I usually go to is next to pep boys and its $1.25 and vacuum is only like $.75. The place on 141... is that the one on McFarland right after the Racetrack and before route 9? It looks nice, one of those "Beach" looking car washes. I tried scouting for one near Buckhead so maybe we can do lunch but no luck. Have fun washing your cars!
If you guys haven't done this yet, you could come to my apt complex... its free and has a vacuum thing(75 cents). We could only go one at a time, but I'm sure the other guys could keep busy detailing and bs'ing. I live at Northridge & Roswell off 400(exit 6). If I missed it, the offer stands....
Sonic boom what complex do you live in? I'm in the jasmines near the QT. We have 1 too but I've never used it
just got home....RIGHT before it started pouring....all that hard work. oh well....at least it was fun. holy hell. we're getting ROCKED over here! -needs a garagey type thing
I guess all of us even talking about a group wash and some actually doing it... we were guaranteed rain Oh well, still might wash mine later when it stops, can't drive around with my wheels looking like this for too much longer...
i say tornado, but i really mean hurricane. haha, i dont know. there very well may have been a tornado nearby. but we had at least 50-75mph gusts one direction across the parking lot, then 2 minutes later the same in the opposite direction. strong enough to bend/snap the steel supports on the "Spa/Hot Tub Event" tent out front (its one of those big, circus type tents that is achored into the asphalt). and every flower outside the store was blown over or across the parking lot.
Guess I was too quick to praise my apt's car wash... Went to wash my baby this morning at said car wash and... some fucker cut the sprayer hose and the waters turned off!!!! GRRRRRR.... Don't know if it was just vandelism, water police, or it just plain wore out but now I'm screwed. I will not wash my car at the quarter place(scratchy brushes, high power pressure hose that takes off my wax) and I don't have $25 bucks to pay for a hand wash every other week..... Time to inconvenionce some friends with houses... 2pt5RS, link me the family guy, grinds my gears thing........grr...........
Bring 2 dollars or so to the handwash. Bring your own bucket and sponge. Wet car either fill up bucket with soap n water or hold the foaming brush over the car and let the soap sit on the car. Go back over with sponge.. Rinse with water then dry and wax
heh, you guys know that the state is in a severe multi-year drought and that all outdoor watering is banned except for Saturday even numbered houses, and Sunday for odd-numbered houses?
