They can do it with EcuTek also, but EcuTek will not release the Launch Control updates here in the States, due the the glass tranny in the older STIs.
Sorry, that was more directed at the WRXs. EcuTek won't release Launch Control here because of the weak WRX trannys.
There were a few Subarus that had this at the doublex. Stever Rankin's was one of them and it worked very well. Every launch was replicated almost exactly.

It will be interesting to monitoring the boards for stories of AP V2 + Launch Control + STi 6MT "bulletproof-ness" over the next year or so, as more and more folks start using it.
I launched my WRX probably 12-14 times and same for my co-driver. I also did this event last year and launched my car everytime. I drive an 03 WRX Stage 2 and never had any problems. Take care of the car and don't launch it at every red light. No need for the 6speed.
With the abundance of WRX tranny problems, I'm still not sold enough on ANY Subaru tranny enough to try that. I want to believe...
