dude, i can't tint for shit. nor do i have the patience...it'd come out garbage.

talk about bringing an old thread from the dead back to life. since then i've spent nearly 2k (too lazy to add up all the stuff).

    -ecutek
-tbe, helix catless dp, greddy evo II cb
    -perrin ebcs
    -drop k&n filter
    -escort radar
    -extra set of tires

I'm still doing good compared to you mod junkies. Wait I'm a mod junkie...just can't afford it.lol

Man I also wanna see Milo's total so far on the new Black Knight. This IS an old thread but I never saw it so that was interesting to read.

I think I'm at a little over $4,000 so far since I started 5-6 months ago.

Lol. I had a friend try to do his truck once with the help of his brother (who is generally really good with such diy projects), and it turned out horribly.

Unfortunately I think I would win if this was a contest. If we added the labor to the price tag it might be closer though. I have done 95% of the stuff on my car myself which saves a ton.

Another way to save a ton would be to realize that you are never going to be happy at xxx power level.
At first for me it was 250 then 300 350 400. Now I want 500. Had I just gone for the big power at the beginning I would have saved alot. Make sure all you supporting mods can support more power than you think you want.

When you say stealth back, do you actually mean the stealth back exhaust (as in just the down and midpipe), or do you mean the standard Turboxs turboback (with the magnaflow muffler). And in either case, where did you get it?

The stealth back is DP, high flow cat, and midpipe. I have the stock axle back. I purchased it from Bluelinescooby on the board.

well I give you props then! DIY FTW, right?

I would never try it myself or recommend it though, pay the pros to do it

^^^ What liquidforce said. Go big in the beginning to save money. I've been able to sell most of my stock & stage-1 (intake, exhaust) stuff though.

Haha, alright. I've noticed that quite often people mistakenly refer to the turboxs tbe with the standard muffler as the "stealth back" and it always just bothers me...

I was just wondering where you got it because 400 is a pretty sweet price. :)
