I know this has been posted, just didn't wanna bring up such an old thread. I am needing my injectors modded ASAP. I have an appointment at Batlgroung on friday to get tuned. Matt was gonna swap mine out for some he already had modded and keep mine for future modding, which is perfect. Only one problem Matt is in Vegas till next week. I HAVE to have these done before friday. If anyone has a set already modded and is available thursday, I would be more than willing to meet up and swap mine out for you to have and would even be willing to throw in some money to make it worth your while. I will be available anytime after 3 on thursday. PS: I will also be doing a fuel pump and VF39 install and you would be welcome to help turn some wrenches on those
why would you want ~800 cc injectors for a vf39? it's a bit excessive. makes more sense for an 18g or equivalent.
They are easy to mod if all you are planning on doing is removing the caps. A steady hand and a dremel is all you need. I have a set you can have but when I had them cleaned and tested at 43 psi and a 100% idc they flowed from 850 - 900cc .
once tuned will the flow rate still be an issue? I will be pairing them with a walbro fuel pump of course. If yours will work safely once tuned then i'd be down for trading with you Mike.
You'll have to ask whoever is doing your tune. At 80% idc they were closer but I can't find the sheet. I just remember what they flowed static. With a vf39 on a 2.0l I bet you won't see anything over 60% on them.
I'm assuming batlground is closed today. Anyone have definite info on the workability of modfed WRX injectors with a vf39? I haced seen it done all over nasioc just want some local input. Thanks
I'm interested in this info also. But I was under the impression that after you mod the injector then they were in the ballpark of 650cc but I am wrong alot
I heard that you can modify stock injectors to 800cc, but they aren't controllable like after market injectors. If it were my car, I would go for the real thing.... as wtf is point of saving a few hundred and risking blowing up the engine in a car worth $20k+
i think Scott said that they were closer to 816cc or something like that. but my car runs fine, other than the boost leak.
Scott should have this magic device (minus smoke machine) that works to discover boost leaks... take advantag3e of hims and uise this!!! Best of luck,
i just got one from ming, but its still leaking at the elbows. i am gonna check a few things. i also ordered another one with a slightly different construction. i'll see which one fits best and go from there.
not doing that rigging crap again, did it twice. one worked fine but the last one was nasty. solid aluminum FTW.
Swing by the house and we can play with it as you know I have had my fair share of F'ing pressure leaks with these HUGE TM's. I have a few spare T bolt clamps and those are KEY for stopping the leaks. Got lots of New Castle too.
when ever, I am pretty lame these days with one kid and another on the way I do not get out much. I usually play softball on Wed though. Killed 1/2 the New Castle tonight.LOL
hahaha... my wife hates newcastle, as her dad drinks it... Guinness FTW.... (have a keg of Guinness on nitrogen in the basement that keeps me company when the wife is gone) hahahha..
I love Guinness especially with some strongbow cider underneath to sweaten uit up a bit. New Castle is and probably will always be my #1. Too bad they do not make Sam Smith's Winter Welcome year round.
hmm.. I did try Sam's winter and it was nice and spicy, a nice brew from the cold winter months (even though it doesn't get hella cold down here in atlanta as it does up norths) Anyway, Guinness FTW!
