After the events of today I am feeling a lot more confident that this will be resolved through SOG at no cost to me or my family :D!

I have to especially thank Will and Steve at SOG for taking the situation so seriously and professionally, and dealing with this issue immediately.

I'll continue to keep you guys updated as we hear more from Just Brakes, but they are pretty much shitting their pants right now, as it looks pretty obvious that they will have to eat the cost.

I'll hopefully be nabbing up the only Brand New '04 Transmission left in the country until the next shipment. It's got the stronger gears than the '02, and I don't plan on adding anymore mods than I have now, so I should be good to go :).

yeah man glad to hear you did not get screwed :wiggle:
I had a run in like this at valvaline years ago in my 97 civic EX 5mt
the dumbars put atf in and when I pulled out and hit 3rd I felt it grind...didnt hear it but felt it
went straight back and they bent me over and gave it to me :ky:
in the end it turned out to be an 1800 dollar tranny service

I decided to boycott them and take my old oil and leave it on their door step :fawk:

Thanks guys, I'm glad it worked out too.

Anybody want to buy a busted transmission for a rebuild? You could use it to put RA or PPG gears in!

I have a question about this type of failure. Is it something that builds up over time and eventually fails or it it one bad launch takes you from perfectly fine to trashed?

99% of the time the failure is the instant you put too much to it...either on a launch or hard shift.

The other 1% is you get lucky and you only crack off a tooth or two. Usually thats a build up over time where you are RIGHT on the EDGE of breaking, but not quite enough to push it over the edge...

    Picked up my car today!!

I was on the phone with Will when he saw my transmission pull up on the back of a truck. 3 hours later he called and said my car was ready  .

I'm just glad this is all over :)

As bad as our trannys are I am sure he could do it with his eyes closed.
