Some threads of reference. The rule reads something like there must be one cat within three feet of the original location...

 

+1 Good advice for anyone who's new to autoX. Don't stress too much about what class you're going to be competitive in, just come out and drive the crap out of your car. IMHO.

Here's the deal with class..... at national level compeition (even at some divisional levels) companies (ie kumho, hoosier, subaru, honda, hawk.....) offer contingency money based on winning a class or gaining a class trophy. Yes, people will loook at the location of your cat if this say was a Prosolo or National Tour, but otherwise most people won't care. People tend to get nit-picky when there is money on the line, but for local events very minor things are usually over looked.

I picked up a pair of helix rear endlinks(pillow ball), are these legal for stx?

But, the location of the cat in this situation is legal...STX allows for Cat deletes, as long as there is one of the three in a location similar to stock in relation to the turbo. The mid-pipe cat covers this requirement...

You are right. The springs take you out of stock class. You can run the car in STS though.

Um, since it's a subaru sponsored event, I hope participating won't invalidate my warranty.
I just had a bout of warranty deny-age that I don't ever want to repeat. I'd love to participate
and I don't want to wait for my warranty to run out before having some fun.
