I've been trying to get my oil changed at SOG for sometime now but becuase of the waiting time and travel time, I'm trying to find another place near atlanta to get oil changed. Any recommendations? Do I have to supply my own oil filters, if I end up going to non-subaru mechanic?
You can't do it yourself??? I'm the only person I trust... + you get a full synthetic change for $20-30 bucks instead of the $70 the dealership charges.
It' just I don't have a convenient place to work on my car. I live in an apartment complex and I live on a hill
So do I... I inconvenience friends to get maintenance done. Luckily, I have a friend with an STI (and a house, and tools). We go in half and buy filters in bulk, It works out..
dont worry about that...it probably wont last too long anyway <---splash guard is held on by *maybe* 1 clip
like $79+ at SOG but their prices went up a bit. Thanks Will for hookin me up that New guy made me nervous lol! (everybody gotta start somewhere just not on mine)
hey man come over to my space and we'll make a mod meet out of it, LOL , Ive got to change mine also. Seriously , let me know and we'll get er done!
Walmart has Castrol syntec(5 qt jug) for $20 and Mobil 1 for $23. Subaru filters with crush washers can be found for $6 if you buy a 6 or 12 pack online. Thats $30 in parts/supplies... so... 40 bucks for labor??? I can't even say $79 for an oil change without making a face.........
I mean, it's $24 for normal oil...so I guess you can juts bring your own oil if you want. The problem with SOG for me is it's 40 miles away. so that's 80 miles round trip. that's alot of GAS and time for an oil change.
