I've been trying to get my oil changed at SOG for sometime now but becuase of the waiting time and travel time, I'm trying to find another place near atlanta to get oil changed.

Any recommendations? Do I have to supply my own oil filters, if I end up going to non-subaru mechanic?

You can't do it yourself??? I'm the only person I trust... + you get a full synthetic change for $20-30 bucks instead of the $70 the dealership charges.

So do I... I inconvenience friends to get maintenance done. Luckily, I have a friend with an STI (and a house, and tools). We go in half and buy filters in bulk, It works out..

Classic subaru isn't that far from midtown. It took me less than an hour for everything.

Walmart has Castrol syntec(5 qt jug) for $20 and Mobil 1 for $23. Subaru filters with crush washers can be found for $6 if you buy a 6 or 12 pack online. Thats $30 in parts/supplies... so... 40 bucks for labor??? I can't even say $79 for an oil change without making a face.........

I mean, it's $24 for normal oil...so I guess you can juts bring your own oil if you want. The problem with SOG for me is it's 40 miles away. so that's 80 miles round trip. that's alot of GAS and time for an oil change.
